I literally downloaded the open models of sarvam in my pc, just too lazy to quantize them and use them.
i have used the sarvam ai and it's pretty good at some tasks.

Brother having the biggest "AI" summit (whatever that means) is not relevant. Sarvam AI's usecase of being able to translate Indian languages better than other languages(supposedly) is not a money making one. For text, language engines are lighter and better.
NVidia is just selling more gpus by selling the idea of sovereign models kek.

and then there are small models which can do live transcript, some even i think can do live audio in all indian languages and they can run on android phones too. this is big win for consumers.
then there's the fact that sarvam provides an alternative for goi as a whole to use the tech.

Neither of these are major business use cases. Bigger AI companies still haven't found profit worthy use cases. So far coding is the biggest one. Rest are all dependent on AI being much better than what it is now (and I am talking about major AI firms).

First you need to have the tools, once you have them you can see what works what doesn't. Now we have the guys with tools they are testing what works and what doesn't.
As we are seeing already they are working with companies who are using their services, hardware startup which is using sarvam vision model, open models which are being used by consumers so on. This is the part of the business, opening opportunity across the board. The very purpose of the summit to highlight these connections and provide a platform.

You can't reach there if you are not starting with the first step. But in case of sarvam it's already one of the biggest models out there. Can be used for lots of use cases already.
They have proven that Indian can deliver, funding is flowing which is good. The good work from them is now moving into the industry.
