On an individualistic base, what he did was what he seemed ok. On a galactic perspective he did right. From a viltrum perspective he was a traitor. But what really matters is where would you stand in that universe. Do you think you will be a viltrumite or rest of the galaxy? If viltrumite, you're still on the losing side because sooner or later viltrums were going to be genocided either way.
