I've worked at Google and the amount of investment that's gone into something like Gmail or maps is insane. No other email provider can even come close to matching the performance and stability of the service, even Outlook or Proton mail is very far behind.

It's over now, it's absolute chaos, companies sent overnight memos to H1B Jeets (many of whom were working remotely from India) to come back within 24 hours (impossible) or they will loose their jobs (unless the company pays $ 100k to US Government, which they won't).
And this an annual fee btw, the "students" are all fucked too, they will return with 50 Lakh loan, the banks who lent them are all fucked too.
