Hours after the two shooters involved in firing at Bollywood actor Disha Patani's Bareilly house were killed in a police encounter near Ghaziabad, gangster Rohit Godara reacted strongly, calling their killing a “defeat of Sanatan”, and hit out at the parties who preach Sanatan for a living but do not ensure justice for “martyrs” who die fighting for Sanatan Dharma. He vowed revenge, saying those involved in the encounter will not be spared.
The two shooters, identified as Ravindra alias Kallu and Arun, were active members of the Rohit Godara–Goldy Brar gang and wanted in multiple criminal cases.
“Whoever is involved in this, no matter how rich or powerful they are, it may take time, but they won’t be spared," Godara said in a social media post.
“Enough now. This encounter that took place today is a huge loss of life for us. Let me tell you. These news channels are reporting that they are dead. They are not dead, they are martyrs. These brothers have sacrificed their lives for the religion,” he added.
Hitting out at certain groups in society who, as he claimed, preach Sanatan Dharma all the time, Godara said, “You shout Sanatan Sanatan with one mouth. And those who fight for Sanatan are killed. This is not justice. All those who roam around in the name of Sanatan Dharma are just making a living. This is not an encounter, it is the defeat of Sanatan. Those who fight for the religion are killed in this Hindustan”.
