I'd reckon that the position of Jains and Jainism broadly, is very convoluted and nuanced here. Traditionally, theological developments happened in parallelism with the Vedic religion. Philosophical placement of their religion is fundamentally a nastik darshana. Puritanical interpretation even declares them to be deluded heretics or avaidiks. Personally, I believe that they are in that order part of Hinduism because of the sociological and shared linguistic constructs that they mimic. The (indian) system is very visceral in the case of Shvetambaras of Gujarat and the Digambaras of Karnataka

Shudra are, as far as Swayambodha goes. Jain's are still Arya ofcourse, but Shudra are placed on a higher scale as far as an average person goes in terms of Varna system.

Also this, as it is very nuanced. For instance a theological scholar of Jainism will rank much higher than Shudra or even a Brahman like me if I didn't know anything about my scriptures. It is quite flexible by context. As far as base state goes, Shudras rank higher than all other Aryas such as Paris, Buddhist, Jain's and even Sikhs in a way, who themself rank higher than Mlecchas.

Jainism itself didn't exactly have a name as a faith and aastika and nastika school were both considered respected as well as their followers Aryas, so it's a little more diverse than all non Hindus being Mlecchas.
