here's another thing that doesn't make sense:
picrel is a map of Kanyakubja(shandilya ?) vanshavali.
on one hand, they say we're desendents of Kush --> Kushnabh --> Brahma Dutt --> kanyakubjas
but on the other hand, here it says shandilyas are descendents of Mariichi --> Kashyap --> Hutashan/Shandilya --> kanyakubjas(shandilyas ?)

Your true focus should be understanding your lineage through your Gotra. That focus being WHY THE FUCK is Shandilya a Gotra of its own? Why is Shandilya not a Pravara that comes under Kashyapa? Why were our ancestors so incompetent and serialising the Brahmin Gotra system?!
