My point precisely. See the thing is that bothers me how Shudras are told they are Dalits and how Dalits think they are Shudras. No, you get kicked out of any Varna you become an Antyaj. Again, my case and point with Gypsies, nearly all of them used to steal and rape children.

I am not disagreeing with it. My point is none of them had such a sophisticated system. My point is dalit that make decent human beings should be given Shudra status again. Those that are shitty Savarnas should become Dalits, and we should never allow them to integrate with us.

Yes and no. Varna sankar status is about the social acceptance as well, not just lineage by itself. This is heavily debated in us Dwijas as well. Hmm i wasnt aware about mamta's ancestry. In my case, i am a product of saraswat brahmin and famous mercantile community(not baniya) from up north. Both were from same state.
Brahmin parent's gotra is bhardwaj and other parent's gotra is kaushal. Both families were well off. The union wasnt well received by their families(it was back in late 90s) but they accepted it because being UCs made it tolerable to them. I dont see as much of taboo nowadays but even my parents who had ICM themselves will not be ok with their children marrying some chuhra chamar because as you said subconsciously many people understand dysgenics.
