I believe the root cause is that africans are simply the more primitive stage of man evolutionarily. Humans evolved in subsaharan africa as that climate is perfect for us biologically. We are a tropical species. No winters, no hot summers and comfortably warm temperatute throughout the year there. You can survive naked, without wood and fire, and shelter.
As humans left their habitat and arrived in eurasia which is climatically very different, they had to evolve higher intelligence to survive extreme climates and dads needed to invest in offspring resulting in monogamy inclined humans surviving and passing on their genes. Africans simply werent selected by forces of nature for those traits so remained feral like some ape.

It's interesting that all AASI groups are labelled as one. If we can find some evidence on which of these might share something in common with ghost population, we might be actually able to see which genotype marker is the issue rather than labelling it all aasi.
