It's true. Police will show very little interest in the case as well, because to create/file a case they need to identify people.
However this small scale kind of violence is pointless in the long run. Even if you get rid of 10 people how does that matter if thousands cross over every day?
India is just much better economically than Bangladesh and will remain so forever as long as the Hindu population in India is large enough to carry the rest.
