I was randomly checking about vande bharat sleeper trainsets, and encountered the official website of the Kinet Railway Solutions,
[Blocked URL: https://kinet.co.in/#rec659989973]
Kinet is a JV between RVNL and russian company TMH. For 200 vande bharat sleepers, Kinet is going to manufacture 120 trainsets with more or less 1920 coaches over next 3 to 4 years.
Based on news, new trainsets from Rail coach factory at Latur, Maharashtra will rollout vande bharat by 2026 mid.
There have been total 210 vande bharat sleeper on order,
>10 to ICF Chennai which subcontracted it to BEML
1 prototype is already being tested and validated.
>120 to Kinet
>80 to Titagarh Wagons and BHEML
These will be all ac trains, with 3rd ac, 2nd ac and 1st ac trainsets. 3 toilets per coach, 1 pantry. Inside of the train is pretty big upgrade compared to current trains.
It will have operational speed of 160kmph with peak speed of 180kmph.
There's also aluminum version in plans, 200 of those but last tender which Alstom won was shelved. Hopefully we will see it soon. Aluminum trainsets can easily reach operational speed of 180kmph with peak upto 220kmph (personal opinion based on certain information - which has been implied).
We might see regular run of BEML / ICF based VB sleeper this year itself though.

Bumping this thread with newer pic of kinet 1st ac interior.
The jv of Titagarh with BHEL has experience with aluminum coaches, makes kino metro trainsets.
Now Kinet which is jv with russian company.
The next 200 sleeper trainsets from these two would be class above the current ICF VBs.
There's 10 BEML Sleeper VBs contracted by ICF. News was that we can see atleast one or two running for public this month but god knows what baboons are upto.

There's no non-ac sleeper trainsets in VB so it filters out such people.

I will use this thread for updates related to Vande bharat.
Good video on the making of the vande bharat.
Siddharth from Newsstation is one of the old school journalist and pretty good one when it comes to infra structure. Here's his podcast with ex-CAO, who was also involved with the Vande bharat project.
Some details from podcasts,
>Due to the track limit, rdso had put restriction of top speed requirement for VB, so they tested for 180kmph while aimed for operational for 160kmph. If they were allowed, even now Vande bharat can run for 200kmph (maybe with small tweaks) but our track are just bad.
>OG Vande bharat had better seats cuz they were imported from the best but now we have indian producers who are alright but not upto that due to the cost limits.
Railway needs to upgrade tracks further.
On vande bharat sleeper he has interesting take, better summary would be that
>increase the speed of the trainsets to the point reducing the say 12 hour journey to say 7hrs so on, keep focus on the chair trainsets.
For longer journey he prefers the older trainsets but i feel it's just unnecessary point, railway will have to go for the modernization sooner or later, instead of spending on existing ones it's better to have new platform like VBs and evolve from there. Which is good.
Also he is wrong that no one else operates long distance sleeper hsrs, china does that. They are what we should aspire to be.

Second BEML sleeper rollout, it will go to ICF chennai for further inspection.
Mr. Vaishnaw said that we may see rollout of two sleepers within october, in fact date was around 15 october for second trainset rollout - atleast out of factory which is done.

Goal of 17,000km of HSR via Dedicated Passenger Corridor in next 22 years. Almost close to 700km of hsr lines every year. If he achieves this then he will go down as the greatest railway minister ever. He already is our best IR minister. Visionary bar none.

Blaady i misheard it, it's 7000km by 2047.
around 320km of route per year - it's not bad but not ambitious enough.
