flight tickets to india are way too expensive, i am debating whether i should go or stay back. If I stay, i will have to find my own apartment/house/room, cook my own food, pay bills, etc. Basically turn into an adult

you cannot work off-campus jobs in the US. This is not like Canada or Australia or any other country where any fag on the street can get visa if he has enough money and go there to work as truck drivers or in tim hortons
I can work at my university in the laboratory. SInce i am in first year, only the basic jobs like data collection, cleaning/maintenance, weeding and mowing the fields, etc. would be available. But the pay is ok-ish

If my mom lived there I'd totally be there too. We're stuck in Canada though. My dad buried us deep with this house.

Yaar i live in rural mid-american small town where there is nothing. Everyone goes back home during summer vacation. My loneliness would only increase
And it gets hot here too. 35+ degrees celsius, south indian levels of humidity, etc.
