Yes, maybe in India. ISKCON in US, EU are closer to the Amish than anything else. I know because I visited their temples multiple times. Any time I visit a country I usually visit the ISKCON temples as well.
They spend most of their day chanting and the rest working on their businesses which is farming + small time merchant stuff like selling books or hand crafts. Same thing in every single country.
A condition for joining them is forfeiting a large part of your salary as well btw , which is one of the reasons why it has very few Indian members.

My friend literally said that the ISKON dublin community people asked his cousin to keep doing the "seva" at ISKON temple to return the favour.
His cousin even shilled ISKCON among his relatives and thats how my friend got to know about this.
Also the ISKCON dublin guys were of Whites race and different hindu (indian)s as well, so it wasn't a brahmin thing specifically.
