Mom likes to show me off to her friends. Told me to get a good haircut before a relative's function, had photos clicked and later told me she showed my photos to her colleagues(she is a teacher) while they all were showing family photos to one another. She told me they said 'aapka beta to bahut lamba hai', 'aapka beta to bahut smart hai'. She felt very happy while sharing all this with me. I was cringing deep inside.

It did happen. Either bhachiyas are all from some strict conservative households or my mom is just overly attached. She phone calls me too much. Once confided to me in person how i am her favourite child instead of my sister (told me not to tell her ofc but sis expressed to me once how she knows that i am the favourite one not her as she can feel it).
