Hows that relevant? Much of indian hindu population during medieval period was living under the rule of muzzie sultanates and later mughals yet they survived. Reason? We had huge population and it was difficult for muzzie conquerors to rule directly and convert everyone. So they just taxed hindus more and incentivized conversion to islam. They destroyed temples and banned public celebration of hindu festivals. But hindus were allowed to live as second class citizens. The muzzies who mass killed indians were invaders like timur, nader shah and abdali who only came here to raid and loot not to rule. Later sikhs (including khatris) and marathas pushed them back. But before their rise to power they survived by living as second class subjects.
