can someone help me identify my caste?
i ve been always confused bout my caste my father always said we are kshatriya and my dadi used to say we are rajputs.
all of my bua's were married into thakurs, however my mum was a ahir before marriage and my tai was a khatri.
we use kashyap surname and my gotra is also kashyap but my tau also uses katariya surname.
i just wanna know if i am a rajput or not or any other caste.
I am genuinely confused and not looking for trollers lmk if you can help

One could tell better by looking at the picture of your grandfather. Or just give us a description of him.

umm..he had a quite balanced shaven face, never saw him, dusky skin tone, round eyes, used to have short to mid grey hair obv. if u want tk anythin more lmk
idk bout his profession, never asked anyone bout his profession but i do know that he had quite an authority and respect within the family and in the society too ig. my great grandpa was in the fauj(soldier ig) he fought in ww2 from the british side had respect within the army, he was later dismissed due to eye injury by gunpowder. idk if he was drafted or voluntarily joined the force

Do you have a caste certificate ?
If not, then you might be a Jat but its very unlikely for NCR Jats to marry out of caste. I think you could be a SC as well but then you should be having the caste certificate or maybe your grandfather just decided to leave his dalit identity behind for marrying upper caste women.
Your family is fucked up 2bh like an average Tier-1 city family.
Your best bet would be to get a DNA test which could tell whether you are aryan or abbo.

can be def true, 2bh i dont mind even if i am a dalit but i dont want that sense of confusion.
