The best jobs in cgl will you give you 4600 gp which is roughly 80k in X (metro) city. And at max 4 promotions in your whole career. You will retire at a post where an IRS officer usually starts. If this feels okay to you, you can prep for it. It's easy and is doable in 12 months with a job if you stay dedicated.
PSUs are always better tho, with much better promotions. They have fewer vacancies through CSE but the competition too is less fierce than what it is in core branches.
Some other exams are RBI grade B, upsc epfo, upsc capf (ac)
