That's just a confirmation bias, multiple smriti abide by same law. Yajnavalkya, Narada, and other Dharmashastra as well. Vedas themself are pretty form on treating shruti and smriti of equall reverence unless it contradicts wha the Shruti's says. Medhatithi mentions the same in later interpretation. Manusmriti might be the most structurally sound book honestly.
