I have always found it very beautiful topographically. Vast island of flatness surrounded by massive walls of mountains. What do geographycels think?

It belongs to sons and daughters of Lalitaditya muktapida, pandit vishnu sharma and Kalhana. Islamic presence is temporary state of affairs.

that's like every city of Nepal
Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Pokhara, Hetauda, Dharan, Surkhet, Tansen, Baglung, Jomsom, Besisahar, Sindhuli
all of the above cities in Nepal are valleys surrounded by mountains and hills, honestly

Of what kind? Yea, that'd be a pretty good place to be safe from older cruise missiles, newer ones with TERCOM and DSMAC navigation will have no problem navigating to your ass, also because their navigation problem is solved the mountains would actually help them hide from radars by hugging the valleys. Only a supply depot could be made here... but depends on the road links and the surrounding infrastructure too, and I'm not aware of that situation in this region... if there are too few they would act as bottlenecks, a couple days of bad weather will fuck up the logistics.

Iirc we already build the bulk storages in the basins but keep command and forward caches safe in the mountains.

Gives more reasoning towards building air logistics which matters.

Would be quite expensive and need several sorties compared to flatlands, for high altitudes significantly reduce the lifting capacity of aircraft, both fixed and rotatory.
>but saar we alrea-ck
Those are sustenance sorties for forward units yaar, bringing the quantities and tonnage of supplies a depot would need to cache will be brutally expensive and a mammoth of a task for even a wizard. Also rapidly lifting heavier equipment in quantities will be impossible, chinooks can only carry around 10 tonnes... and that is at sea level.
It is better to build them on open terrain, and push(important, pull logistics are too sluggish for mountain warfare imo) sustenance equipment to forward units though a combination of land and air logistics.
Thinking such a depot will be ideal is mostly a result of primitive thinking from the era when warfare was only a single domain affair.
Our MELM is optimal imo, needs to be scaled up massively to support larger deployments tho.
