yeah this is why they were BASED unlike this bhangi republic, it British helped set up an actual Hindu state for Hindus, they studied vedas and other texts, and created Hindu Law code from that, called it dharmashastras.
There was no reservation in bureaucracy, colleges and universities set up by them were actually quite good, with actual purpose.
College of Engineering in Roorkee was established to aid in civil engineerinv works in the region.

During British Raj, indian currency was accepted across middle east, indian merchants were active across central asia and we had an actual military that fought international wars, we had academics and scientists that would win international accolades, bright indians could available higher education in UK as British subjects.

Indians were even allowed to immigrate to UK and gain citizenship and even vote in UK elections as long as you fulfilled minimum property requirement. Dadabhai Naraoji moved to uk, married some british woman and contested and even one a seat in westminster where he advocated for more rights for british india.
