How to stop the chaprification of Indian festivals?

Holi, a peaceful campfire festival was turned in to one where s throw toxic chemicals at other and dirties the neighborhood.
Diwali, a peaceful festival of light was turned in to one s cause nuisance by breaking crackers on road and causing smoke and noise pollution.
Raksha Bhandan, a festival celebrating familial bonds was turned in to one where chaprinas can 'bhaizone' her classmates.
I could go on and on about how these auspicious occasions have been chaprified to the point of unrecognition that even saying you don't like these chaprified versions of these festivals cause massive seethe and cope among many Hindus. The thing is it's too late festivals to recover, what we need to focus on is to save the other festivals from going through further chaprification process.

BTW is it true that holi and diwali were originally harvest festivals and the myths were simply added later to them? This explains why in all states holi and diwali falls pretty much around april and october respectively which are harvest months in indian climate. Also explains why other indian religions like jainism, buddhism and sikhism have their own festivals fall at the same time. Myths also vary by region like in bengal diwali is about durga puja not rama which shows the popularity of these festivals are a result of indian agrarian practices and not some mythological tale. Myths were just built on top of them.

Humans have dharmic responsibility to look after the environment because nature is directly tied to human prosperity.
The problem with these chapri celebrations are that it's only harmful not to just the environment but to humans partaking in it as well. Hopefully natural selection weeds out these s.
