Imagine surviving in the past with wars, politics, diseases and starvation without modern food abundance and social welfare where being poor meant hunger, brutal and short life and bleak future for your descendants. It makes sense why ancestor worship is such an important tradition. We owe our existence and good life to our ancestors. It should motivate us to do the same for our descendants. Whenever i see slum people or sewer cleaners, i cant help but see the inherent brutality of race of life, the struggle for existence.
