i make it a point to take a random day off from work each month. at least one day off. most companies have some kind of restriction on how many of your leaves can you carry forward. i don't really see the point of saving leaves. just take a day off and relax at home or do your long pending tasks, follow your hobby etc.

i get 15 paid leaves 15 sick leaves and 15 annual leaves every year. this is apart from the sat sun off every week and 2 religious holidays. as >>23 fellow anon has said, in my company only annual leaves carry forward to the next year. so i make sure that i use up all the PLs and SLs. truly comfymaxxing, truly winning.

i would say, dont take them regularly. take them in bulk. take a couple of them before and after weekend and make a comfy 5-6 day leave. now enjoy and do whatever you want in this time.
