now that you have moved the thread:
>learn c++ [anything works i myself used java and python but c++ is superior]
>use the book to learn
>start solving cses problem set simultaneously
>gib contests on codeforces regularly [biweekly or weekly is good for a start]
that is ALL you need. if you are able to do this sincerely you will improve your rating. anyone else telling you to follow this youtube channel that youtube channel is fooling you. sure you can watch them for fun (yes i did watch them for fun). no books no other resource is needed. make sure you are in 1st 2nd or 3rd semester. if not, stick to leetcode else you wont be internship ready.
nothing else is needed. no chans ircs forums. all of that is slop to keep you fooled.
and yeah stop being frequent here, happy coding.

addendum: if you arent a textual learned and cant teach yourself, takeuforward is unironically great. no other youtube channel is needed, no other.

will C be enough ? i love it and am too used to it.
also, you said leetcode and CF is not as respected anymore, since everyone just cheats. i was thinking of not doing CF, but grinding Kaggle, will it fuck my career up ?

but saar, i am using AlgoExpert course, and i have decided to stick to this course through to the end, because i believe jumping ship too many times results in no progress.
did i make a mistake ? should i have not (((bought))) this course ?

what year are you in ?? are you more of a textual learner or a visual learner ?? you will know your answer yourself.
also dont get yourself down for that jharkhand remark of mine. yeah i was the one who wrote textwalls in that thread.
sage btw.

>will C be enough
no. use it for personal stuff only. i love C myself and its my personal favourite language. but there are no imports in it and you cant be implementing shit from scratch when the time comes.
>also, you said leetcode and CF is not as respected anymore
i never said it. what gave you that impression ?? if you have seen someone telling it, please dont fall for it.
>grinding Kaggle, will it fuck my career up ?
studying anything will never fuck your career up. kaggle is great. by grindin kaggle, i suppose you mean participating in the contests. those will be great for your learning. but do NOT exclude data structures and algorithms as a part of your preparation.
if you like ML and kaggle, stick to leetcode atleast if not codeforces.
in terms of importance: DSA > OS DBMS > kaggle
now add your interests to these and then prioritize. please keep your OS DBMS fundamentals intact.

1st year, 2nd sem.
>are you more of a textual learner or a visual learner ??
visual. i was just asking if there is something in your book that i ABSOLUTELY must know, which is not commonly taught in most DSA courses.

i have already replied to you once in that merge sort thread of yours. try implementing graphs algorithms. specifically the disjoint set stuff. it doesnt get any harder than that. if it does, its pointless to do it. you would be much better off to solve problems on what you have already learnt.
