i knew nothing about emacs nor did I wanted to read 1000 pages documentation for a fucking text-editor(it is an OS though)

well emacs is much more than a text editor :)

for only text editing neovim is the best but emacs has many other features

I suppose Visual Studio doesn't work on Linux, otherwise I would have used it for graphics
