These are Indian Muslim forces (the Malerkotla State forces) blowing up Namdhari Sikh rioters who had killed Muslim butchers for selling beef.
That picrel is widely circulated on social media as depicting the events of 1857, but that is incorrect. It actually shows the execution of Kuka (Namdhari) rebels by being blown from cannons in 1872.

Well ofc, they look Sikh, the Sikhs were with the Brits in the Fist War of Independence. Anyone who calls it a rebellion or revolt is a colossal sepoy and should be skinned alive.
