But tbh indians here speak Hindi all the time if they can find a fellow Hindi/Urdu-speaking desi. I laughed out loud when I heard these 2 champu girls from North speaking in Hindi to try and protect the topic of their conversation from being overheard by anyone not realising i was already there. They were speaking so loud in a quiet classroom and people were making comments against them but they had no idea

Mixed bag tbh. I don't like most diaspoorats (especially the girls) because they act high and mighty around real Indians and act very subservient to whites, but there are a few nerds that are very cool to be around because they have forgotten their egos to an extent. Those guys are rare though

in my electronics lab, there are 4 of us in my assigned group. One is a white guy, typical frat bro with backwards baseball cap in 2nd year repeating this course. The other two are Indian girls born and brought up in the US. One is chopped and a white simp, but she is smart and does team projects and stuff. The other is the same as the first but she is fat and dumb, she has been here for 1 more semester than me and I still had to show her on her laptop where to access the assignments, submit homework, etc. I worked pretty hard initially but seeing how they are both gravitating towards making fun of me while talking to the white guy and not bothering to interact with me, I have just stopped doing any work now. I just coast off of whatever they're doing and submit the work myself
Unrelated, but a lot of the times in classes like chemistry or physics I find myself at times the only person in the class actually answering the questions. Like...out of more than 350+ people in a lecture hall literally nobody else answers. It feels weird
