You do realize that we get some traits exclusively from one parent, right? For example, we inherit our mitochondria from our mother.
Anyways, as far as height is concerned, it is a polymeric trait, so you cannot pin it down.
My initial statement was based more on what I have observed.
Anyways, it has been shown in studies that a father has a greater bearing on his son's height, while a mother has a greater bearing on the daughter's height. It is also observed that if the father is older at the time of conception, then the boy is more likely to be taller.
I will link the studies in a minute.
Refer to this graph till then.

Regression towards the mean. They would not be manlets though.
I just said that a father has more of an impact on the son's height. It could be a negative or positive impact.
It is noted that if a father is significantly above average in terms of height, then his son is more likely to be closer to the average height instead of being taller than his father.
This is something that TL would never have to worry about, as he seems to be roughly 5'7" to 5'8". As long as he marries a girl who is 5'3" or above, and then feeds and raises his son well, his boy would not be a manlet.

TL;DR: If a man is super tall, or a gigamanlet, he is more likely to have a son of average height either way. That's just simple probability.

TL does not have tall genes to begin with. He seems 5'7" at best.
