I feel like you guys keep forgetting that Nepal is majority indo-aryan not sino-tibetan, the AASI input in Nepal is very low and much lower in the hills as AASI tribes never lived in the hills, they came recently with indian influence over Nepal

they call themselves chettris and bahuns, its just a word, not brahmin or kshatriya, they rarely refer to themselves as that and arya is used a lot, unlike India where arya just because a recent thing to refer themselves, bahuns and chettris refer to themselves and their tribe as arya ever since I can remember, also their other living tribes are tibetan horseback riders called tamang, rai, magar, not ooga booga people that India has who love to play victim saying "5000 salloh seh paani peene nhi diya"

using arya is to differentiate themselves from other groups not just mongoloids but they didn't really think so deep or having aryan origins, its just that khas people have never stopped using it, you know the word arya, also the usage is kinda vague, like how we use the term dharma, also did you know that Nepal has a festival called Indra jatra?(festival of Indra)
also intermarrying isn't really a big problem, the thing is, it just doesn't happen, I don't know why but even in a very mixed environment marriage between rarely happens, if it does happen which is very rare, its not like India where the father burns the dotter alive, maybe because atleast the unaryan tribes in Nepal are somewhat martial, hence respectable
