Got one year backlog
Just when I got out, Corona happened couldn't do anything
Corona cloud got away - 2022 - IT hiring was so much changed
Couldn't catch up with the hiring - everything changed so fast
On the side tried getting into a government job but couldn't get in because of too competition
Cleared some banks, but not much
Too tired now, but I can fight back if shown a pathway

Unironically join a BPO for now at least.

Do law. All three things will come. But it will take YEARS. Many years.
If you are only interested in breaking your NEETstreak and earning money, join a BPO immediately. I'll tell you a story about one of my friends who was in a similar situation.
The said friend, somehow did an MCA, but idiot couldn't write one line of code. He did it during COVID era and cheated his way through postgraduation and got good grades as well. But at the end of the day, he literally does not know anything about coding, making his MCA a useless piece of paper.
He then dropped for 4 more years after MCA, prepping for goberimint jaab eggjams because no IT company hired him as he lacked even the basic skills an MCA grad is expected to have.
He wasn't even able to clear the prelims of any of those exams as well.
After 4 years gap, even the BPOs refused to hire him, citing his gap years as the primary reason for refusal during the interviews.
After many more months, some local BPO has hired him and he is getting 15k/month working 10 hours a day but at least his NEETstreak is final over. He can switch to a bigger, more reputed BPO any day now and he would get around 30K in those companies because now he has some experience under his belt.

I managed to break out of being a NEET for 1.5 years but I couldn't handle it and now I'm back to 0 again. I don't know what's going to happen from now. I was happy and felt relieved for 3 days but the fear is back again. It feels like I traveled back in time. The same ole' dread that I felt before I got my proper job.
Years of NEETdom ruined my functionality as a person, unless you honestly work on your problems that made you a NEET and continues to persist you as a NEET, there's no point. The low self-esteem, anxiety, misanthropy, meek personality, etc. etc. only compounded to the absolute brootalness that exists out there. you can never make it out there.
I've been searching for job advertisements online and for 1 vacancy, I just keep seeing 100+ applications in Naukri.

Take care bro. Im going through some tough times as well. You'll get through it. Like the other anon said, get a BPO job to end the NEET streak. I want to suggest one thing, spend 1-2 weeks without mobile, computer,tv, friends. Just by yourself. Think calmly what you want to do. Write your options down and then take a final call. This will enable you to take better decision due to mental clarity. All the best.

Kek ironic I used to make NEET general on Tom's inch and you and Mechneet used to bump it up to 500 replies. I also got a jab (WFH) which paid peanuts then got laid off due to no funds. Now I am NEET again for entirety of this year.

I have no clue how you were able to do a social job of a teacher although being an assistant prof after years of NEETdom I am unable to properly to anyone and get stuck. My brain fog and anxiety levels are unbearable. Seems like I forgot how to interact with humans kek.
I also gave an interview recently and thought I got the jab then the HRandi told me after 5 days that feedback of the interview was negative as I was cheating (I wasnt tho wtf). Maybe not making eye contact with the interviewer he thought I was cheating anyways. Too old to change this.
Hope everyone finds a way to break NEETdom or have rich enough parents to support them till the do the needful

It was horrible to be honest. I hated talking to students, I hated talking to most of my coworkers, and I hated going to work, every day was just irritating and a drag to even get up. I was on high alert, and I was behaving like an idiot to everyone, which somehow made me appealing for some reason. People liked seeing someone eccentric like me, because of being a walking circus, but I just decided enough is enough because I saw that the profession is fucking dead end and hopefully by 2028 mechanical engineering as a degree will just go extinct and ghost factories in China will take over everything.

Btw I disagree to the idea of getting ANY job to get out of NEETdom. That's what I did, but it's concerning to see that most if not all workplaces in India are exploitative and toxic, and getting into dead end jobs like call centres or data entry would make you feel like you were happier and less miserable as a NEET and that there's simply no point in sticking with a whole body experience that drains you every single day just for the sake of being in a job that doesn't really take you anywhere, but this is just me. The suffering out there has to mean something and you have to get something out of it. Security, routine, money, are not really good excuses in my opinion, but maybe I made a big mistake. Let's see.
