OP answered himself. Also those who are meant to get a job will get one. Having a low population won't make you any less of a minimum wage guy and you would have grown up with a much lower standard and expectation for yourself either way. Jobs are hard to get because companies are full of shit and you don't have connections.

Problem is scarcity of it. Even if you did every thing right, down to the last decimal, only 1 out of 10 are going to get paid good. Rest will get what is left.
