Anyone else feels that their job is too fucking boring because you're doing literally nothing? I am unfortunately stuck in such a job. I have to be in my office for 6 days/week. The workload? Negligible. None. Nada. Nothing ever happens. I just have to sit on my ass in the AC. Occasionally, I have to do a couple of things. Maybe like twice a week. All my work can very easily be done remotely, but no! I have to be in the office and do nothing. Salary? 23 hajar only. Perks, none.

Upskill kaise kia jaye? Padhai bhi ache se nahi hoti office me.

Sorry to hear that yaaara. Have you tried applying to manufacturing companies of your city? There must be an industrial area nearby where you live. Although it is still hard, but chances of getting jobs in manufacturing sector is a bit higher because they don't typically post on LinkedIn and other mainstream platforms where 100s of people are applying. Based on your degree, you can apply for smaller roles to get your foot in the door and eventually switch after gaining experience.

These companies typically need ITI/Electronic engineering guys for roles in maintainance and stuff.

I'm non-engineer yaar. Sorry. I must've confused mech for electric. But many small scale manufacturing companies do need btech guys from these backgrounds for various roles. Maybe try for an internship in some small-scale company near your locality if you can't get a job straight up. What I'm trying to say is, getting a job/internship through linkedin, naukari and other mainstream job posting websites is comparatively harder because they are filled with 100s of bot applicants and your resume gets lost in the sea of bots.

In my field of work, paid internships are an exception, not the norm. I've seen internship applications with 200+ applicants for unpaid majdoori on LinkedIn which is just grim.

Law yaar.

The company I work for doesn't even need my work for most days. Once in a while, they ask me to send some legal notices or file a case against some defaulters. But they still want me to regularly come to the office. Court is way more fun. But juniors are paid miserably unless you are empaneled by the government.

There's an escalation procedure yaar.

First, I call and ask the defaulter party orally if they're ready to pay.

Second, I send a legal notice if the first procedure did not work.

Third, I wait for 15 days after sending the notice and call one last time to check if they're willing to pay amicably because court proceedings will cost them more in the long run. If they're still not paying, I am allowed to file a civil suit for recovery against them.

Other stuff in my job profile includes doing compliance work for the company.

There are no underhanded tactics involved that some companies use like leaking the defaulters financial liabilities to their contacts to publicly shame them.

All in all, very boring work and the need of which arises only once in a while.

1.5 year of experience in total.

Before this, I was practicing under a very good senior in the district court of my city. But the pay was only ₹2000 a month. Yes. ₹2000. Like I said earlier, juniors are paid miserably in the courts and it's a norm. Some generous senior might pay you ₹10k but that's very rare.I worked with him for a year before making the switch.

I got to learn a lot of things from him though, for which I'm eternally grateful and I still have a very cordial relationship with him.
