I don't know much about tollywood apart from few famous movies, most of the source info is actually from their subreddit. Same goes for bollywood tbh.
Few of the contrasts i see which shows the signs that bollywood is dormant dying while tollywood is lively, brimming with creativity and community as a whole is way more lively.
Bollywood communities are dead, biggest community is probably r/bollyblindsandgossip which is mostly about nepo kids, astroturfing from PR agencies from big wigs and so on. Understanding considering it's a gossip sub but r/bollywood is completely dead.
Tollywood meanwhile churning out all sorts of creative movies, slice of life types, experimenting and playing around with religious aspects, political aspects so on. It's very interesting to see how active this community - movies, fans, etc. are.
They are adopting things, evolving while bollywood has completely stagnated. They are literally making cheap remakes of south indian movies at this point. It's so lame to see.

I don't like too much preachyness but then again i haven't watched much of their movies.
Best i can remember is remake in bollywood for Drishyam which was good watch.
