Have you seen how many anime this franchise has? People eventually run out of ideas. Their is also the fact boomers are always late at trend, and the lesbo shit just doesn't sell all that much at this point. They did try something different so their is that, but they did it when the public need and demand for it faded
Their is also the fact that Gundam is too silly at times for a true political and war based franchise to be honest. On the other hand anime fanbase and normfaggots are too retarded to watch or read anything that doesn't fucking turn stuff into baby batter and spoon feed it to them.
It makes Gundan itself a very niche market. It has a great run, and with time all things face away.

No, even shonen isn't that retarded. Shonen places lot of value at hard work and trial and error, a lot of OG shonen had MC's ground into actually ground, to establish power difference. This theme was so prominent that it reflected upon franchise like Mega Man, when it became shonenfied in Mega Man X, where Z is established as a character just that strong.
